DBA和PhD的差异大么？附上AASCB认证的DBA项目~

Yes, I also know that Manchester has a strong PhD, but don't know if they will accept me with funding (I am weak compared to many applicants), but they have a DBA part time in Hong Kong, so I was just thinking about that. Yes, I want to be in academic as a professor because I am in academic field as a TA now. being a professor is my career goal.

我觉得part time的DBA不是很靠谱~

感觉DBA这个东西现在有认证的太少了~而且每个学校的理念都不一样~
有的要求5-8年工作经验之类的，大多是part time，这类大多面向老板；
有的没有工作年限要求，要求的gmat和其他成绩比较高，而且说明以后是要research和teaching的，这类应该可以等同于PhD了吧？~

最近突然发现其实很多美国的b-school的phd，曾今都是DBA的项目，在最近20年陆续改成了PhD~
曾今的神马U Tennessee，U memphis，U kentucky， old dominion U……
包括BU，之前09年的毕业生好像都还是DBA~现在都改成PhD了~
估计不久LOUISIANA TECH 和CLEVELAND STATE也要改成phd了~

看来把DBA改成PHD已经成为一种趋势了，也是更好的区分这两种学位吧~~

NEOMA BUSINESS SCHOOL推出的DBA有AACSB的认证，还可以与PhD之间进行转换。不过学校是欧洲的。

Oxford one seems to be called DPhil is Management study (DPhil is a oxford stuff, which is eqv to PhD)

PhD is definitly different from DBA.
One simple fact is, no top business school expect Havard (which is a different story behind) offer DBA.

DBA is useful in industry and maybe also teaching, but in academic research, good luck...

if you want to go academic research, professor, tenture or etc., forgot about DBA, not to mention a part-time one.

as you are already working as a TA, ask the prof for suggestion.
you may see if there're any part-time PhD / PhD without funding available. (and combine it with a TA or whatever, which is kind of similar to a full-time PhD).

P.S. do you really consider Manchester's PhD is strong?...........i will say it is decent but not really up to 1st tier of UK.
