experiencing mixed feelings right now
I'm happy that I got admitted as it is a great program
Annoyed at the same time cuz of the following conversations I've had with people

me: Mom, I got into CUNY-Baruch!
mom: huh? city university of new york? that is not NYU?
me: no...
mom: is that like city university of hongkong and HKU?
me: iunno :S
mom: ohh.. you are not gonna go, right? it's not a famous school
me:...

me: yooo i got admitted by a school and im gonna quit my job soon!
my friend: yay which school?
me: city uni of new york
my friend: is that the same as nyu?
me: no...

a couple days later, my mom called me and told me this...
mom: ** (my name) got in a scholl in nyc!
my aunt/my mom's friends/my uncle: really? which one?
mom: city uni of new york!
my aunt/my mom's friends/my uncle: huh? never heard. whats the ranking?
mom: i don't think the school is ranked high but the MFE program seems to be rated really high
my aunt/my mom's friends/my uncle: ughh... she can do much better.  Tell her not to accept it yet.
