In the lecture, the professor talks about the reason why the sea otter populations are declining off the Alaska coast. She claims that the main reason is because of the predation rather than the environmental pollution, which mentioned in the reading passage.

Firstly, the lecturer brings about the fact that there isn’t any dead sea otter can be found on the beaches. This directly contradicts the reading material. If the decline of sea otter population was caused by ocean pollution, then there would be lots of dead bodies on the beach. Therefore, it is absolutely convincing that the sea otter were killed by predators.

Moreover, according to the professor, whales were killed by human hunter, so it would make orcas to change their diet. They would go for other sea mammals such as seals and sea lions. Apparently, the decline of other sea mammals could not be led by the pollution, which proves what showed in the passage to be wrong.

Another doubt casted on by the lecturer is that the uneven pattern of otter decline. She states that due to the huge size of orcas, there is no chance for them to get access to shadow area, which is exactly the area which sea otter populations remain stable.

Nowadays, we all live in an international and high-tech modern society, which makes computers becoming more accessible to us. Some would assert that this is good for children’s intellect development. From the long-term perspective, however, playing computer games can be a waste of time. Therefore, it is not a wise decision to let children playing computer games. I will elaborate the main reasons in the article.
To start with, it is known to everyone that playing computer games would tear down an grown-up's will, let alone to children, who are not mature enough to tell  right or wrong. Therefore if parents give children chances to play computer games, there will be no doubt that children must become obsessed with it and out of control. According to a survey conducted by a consulting company, there are nearly 90% of children who feel miserable to get rid of online games once get started. What a terrible data it is! The only one who could be happy about the survey is no one than game producing company.
Moreover, since we only get 24 hours a day, children who engaging in playing games would definitely spend less hours on their study. In that case, they will get a poor score in school and forget the most important thing to do at their age. Taking my little brother as an example, he is in 4th grade right now, but unfortunately, he cannot focus on study because of an online game called racing car. He told me that his good friends love this game too. Every day after class, they play the game on internet as a group. With no doubt, his study dropped a lot.
As what I've discussed above, we can easily drew the conclusion that there is no advantage for children to play computer games. One more reason I want to clarify is that having their eyes directly looking at the computer, children would somehow get a bad eye vision. Hence, parents should not allow their children playing computer games.
