AD@ Reading U, real estate finance 这专业大家觉得如何

其實我本身並非 U of Reading MSc Real Estate 既學生,但係我識得兩個曾在及正在 Reading MSc Real estate 就讀既學生而得知以上提供既資料。(我本身正在就讀 MSc Surveying from U of Reading, CEM (2008-2011),亦準備報讀 MSc Real Estate Development)

從他們口中,Reading 既 Real Estate 和業界既關係真的很好,經常有 guest speaker, field trips ,那個正在就讀 MSc real estate 既同學已經有 interviews. (不過暫時仍然未有 offer)

至於你問道來香港工作的可能,我會答是有的,但問題係好取決於就業市場及房產市場,現在香港房產市場大旺,不過政府正研究壓抑樓市既政策,另外年底有機會加息,這些都是利淡香港房地產市場。由 2009 計起,都復甦了2年喇,通常一個經濟週期都係大約 4.5-5 年,其中 3-3.5 年係牛市,1.5-2年係熊市,即係話好有機會 2012 會出現牛轉熊的局面.

It is so great to meet many friends fancy Reading here, I am also studying the Reading MSc in Surveying (2008-2011) for the APC requirement; because the job I am doing is quantity surveyor at moment, however RE development is my desirable field, is anyone able to give me ideas if it is worth getting another Reading Uni RE degree to secure the job in the industry? With QS background like me, please advise any areas I have to pick up to fill in the gap between QS and RE development, such as development appraisal, property investment, property valuation or planning/RE law? You know it is not easy to find a decent job in RE industry in UK, especially in the downturn UK economy. Appreciate your contribution.

我目前就在香港 坦白说 机会有 但是很难 竞争很激烈 而且有work visa之类的限制种种 reading u的确名气够大 不过 实话说 近几年 是有点下降的 牛人走了几只

但係我係度諗如果 U of Reading 同 NYU, Columbia, MIT, USC, Cornell 等學校比較,其 MSc Real Estate 又會去到邊個檔次?

我都係入左 APC (QS),出年準備考 RICS,完成 RICS 後報讀 MSRED.
想問下你有沒有 MSN?

APC in QS is not easy anyway, especially the panel interview which one of my colleagues failed last year. They asked the latest UK project based contractual questions which he had not got exposure with, I reckon the experience in industry is essential if you pursue RE APC, my email is weijia1980(A) hotmail.com, keep in touch

Quick question, once you have RICS in QS, what is the benefit for RE career development? Eventually you need to change your pathway to RICS RE branch sooner or later.

You may try to join an intensive training course for preparation of RICS chartership exam.
There is a mentor supervision training scheme in which a RICS assessor would be assigned for supervising your progress of chartership examination. The intensive course only costs you about $40,000 HKD.

急求解答,请问下这个专业毕业后多数是向什么公司什么部门发展呢?是去哪个地区的居多呢?

另外,由于本人本科读的是金融,也申请到了一些金融MS的offer(但并不是顶级的学校,例如CASS之类),所以有挺多人都建议我去读金融,说金融MS毕业后可以到房地产,但反之则不然。所以我现在也很纠结,不知各位大牛能不能给小女子些意见~万分感激!
