她觉得我PS有些地方似乎有点arrogant,还有的表达很dramatic: I realize this is usual for students in China, but in Canada it is very unusual and it sounds very dramatic. I don't advise using these grand statements. It is important to seem knowledgeable, confident, but also humble.
Hi **, I didn’t at all get the sense that you were being arrogant or dramatic. This is definitely one of those cultural differences we struggle with but in your case, I didn’t feel it, to be honest. I think the context sort of requires you to be direct about your strengths and you’ve done that. At least IMHO.
I think it is very well written. And it provides a lot of the details we need, especially your research experience which is very valuable to your admissions.
One tiny thing is some of your pagaraphs became unformatted like the others (most of the document is right and left justified, which looks very nice, but for a few paragraphs the right justification disappeared). Perhaps trivial but I thought I’d mention.
I wish I had more things to change, because it sounds like I’m not doing my job but I read it closely and thought it was perfectly fine.
