楼主前两天被Warwick那个该死的学校排名刺激大发了，一怒之下写了几百字的东西发了过去（当然，楼主米有申请他家，所以才如此秉气。。。。）
去信：
Dear Sir/ Madam:

I saw the 'Top 100 Chinese Universities' list and I have to say that the list is seriously misleading.

In the first place, while many Chinese have heard of the list, few people or HR actually believe in its authority. The ranking takes into consideration things like the scale of the campus or the number of faculty and students. Yet such index do not really reflect the competence of a school's students. For instance, 后面表扬了俺的学校，俺就不贴了免得被雷劈遭拍砖。。。


In the second place, every school have strong points and weak points. For instance in UK: while LSE ranks higher than Warwick, does that indicate a student studying anthopology in LSE is better than a student majoring in Finance in Warwick? I hope the comparison doesn't offend you, but I don't think so. In China, it's exactly the same situation. For instance, XXXUniversity ranks 8 in your list, but actually it's strong in Psychology. XXX is known for its research in computer science. If you are recruiting students for MSF or MSc in Economics according to this list, you might miss a lot of good students.

And in terms of scale, I have to say it indicates little about a school, especially in China. XX University used to be a big one, yet because of some POLITICAL INTERFERENCE, it was force to spit up. And some other schools, such as XX University, unified a lot of local school, some good and some not so good, and turned them into one whole university. Then its ranking roared!

Anyway, my point is that the list can be instrumental during your enrollment. However, I'm afraid few Chinese will agree with the rankings on the list. So please take a second thought before you reject any students from schools ranking below 20.

然后Warwick小米回了一封巨假无比的信：
Dear XXX,

Thank you for your email.  lease be assured that we only refer to the rankings list as a guide.  We are aware that many universities have their own specialties, and will accept students from lower ranking universities if they have a good grade from a very good course and meet our requirements.

Thank you for your reply.

I got worried because a person on Chasedream.com (the biggest business school forum in China) pasted an email he got from an official in Warwick. The email said that Warwick would only admit students from top 20 school. Anyway, even if you are just refering to the list, I'll be really thankful if you can REALLY take a second thought. I don't know if any other Chinese student has ever mentioned this to you, but the list is considered as very misleading by most Chinese applicants according to the forum and according to our commen sense.

I'm not actually an applicant to Warwick, so please don't take my email as a utilitarian one. All I want is that competitive Chinese applicants can be evaluated according to a proper reference and do not miss a good business school like Warwick.

。。。。同学们，楼主只是很气愤那个名单，更气愤他们那种官方的回复，于是来征集大家的创意，我琢磨着自己好好学习几年好容易进了个好大学考了各种托福几麦特，NND就被他们那个不知道谁生出来的破烂名单给BS了，坚决咽不下这口气，反正Email又不征税，楼主决定慢慢来。。。。。。。

顶楼主，鄙视华威，杜伦，谢菲尔德这类卡学校的自以为很牛的学校。我并没申它们，只是单纯鄙视它们而已。LSE，牛剑怎么不这样，真正的牛校才不会这样。

我觉得一个比较好的论点就是 其实list里面top 20学校里面的学生完全可以找到工作不申请出国，即使申请也未必会申请Warwick，即使申请了Warwick来了OFFER也未必会去，以为人家也会以同样的标准选择UK里比Warwick更好的学校。长此以往，连top 20开外的同学也不会再申请你们的学校，即使你们会考虑top 20以后的学生人家也不稀罕你们了，到时候Warwick只会失去更多的潜在中国学生，试问一个很强大的学校连国际化都做不到谈何强大？

因此你们这么选择学生害的不是别人而是自己。
