答案的解释的 他们对逻辑对称，都表示目的。
可是我觉得他们形式可不对称了，难道以后形式 看上去不对称的 只要逻辑对称就可以了吗？？？

我又觉得这很难把握啊。。。到底应该如何了理解啊~？？？求大牛门指点指点我这菜鸟。。。

这道题我昨天刚做的，我选的A，不知道lz想选什么，我没有按照你说的方法来判断我只是简单的用so much as ....
这个句型，基本上一下就确定选A，因为剩下的句型使用全部错误，楼主的明白？？？？楼主所说的对称其实不是这道题的考点，这道题的考点应该是我上面说的。但是楼主的学习态度值得学习，研究的很仔细。但是有时候应该更宏观把握一下

同意楼上kobe的说法，这道题考察的就是not so...as...这个句型，只不过so much和as后都分别用了that引导的（表语）从句，用以更加清晰地比较两个原因。
so much后面的that dogs are being bred for looks or to meet other narrow criteria中，for looks和to meet都表示狗被饲养的目的，很好地达到了功能逻辑平行，尽管没有做到形式上的完全对称，但Gmac自己也说了，sc不是选最ideal的，而是选the best one. 呵呵从这个意义上说，虽然答案A带有我们认为的一点小瑕疵，但相比其他选项，A is the best one.
