Yale面试求助！

收到YALE的面试了，已经写信给adm说不能去new heaven了。得到回信如下，请大家帮我看看是什么意思。
Thank you for your recent message.  If you are unable to visit the Yale School of Management campus at this time, the Admissions Committee will consider an alumni or off-site interview.  If we are able to offer one of these types of interviews, we will contact you to make the arrangements.  This process may take up to a week, so we ask for your patience. If we’re unable to grant an off-site interview, we’ll let you know and you’ll have the option of interviewing on campus.  



Please note that if you are planning to travel to New Haven before the admissions decision deadline, we can’t arrange an off-site interview for you.  

是不是说如果找不到校友的话，我就必须去了。可是我的护照过期了正在办理啊，坐不了飞机，难道就眼睁睁的放弃吗？哭啊。。。

不是很清楚如果你自己主动找到愿意面试自己的校友，然后请他和校方联络，是否妥当？是否比到纽黑文面试更有优势？毕竟护照办理时间紧迫，两手准备。
“校友张磊承诺捐赠近900万美元给母校的商业管理学院。截止目前为止，是该校管理学院接获的最大一笔个人捐款，也是耶鲁大学来自毕业不十年的年轻校友中最大的一笔捐款。他毕业时带有yale的巨额初始资金回国。 ”

多谢，能不能面试我还不知道呢，刚电过大使馆的人了护照要在12月底才拿到，如果YALE找不到校友面我，我就彻底晕菜了。
BTW，off site是不是只的电话或者skype之类的啊，当然不如校友面试好啊

You shouldn't worry.  What the Yale SOM admissions office is saying is that they will try to offer you an off campus interview if you request one.  They are very interested in Chinese students, so I think that they will find a way to make it work for you.

The second note is clarifying that, if you are already planning to make a visit to New Haven, then you would have to do your interview while you are on campus.  Since you are not planning to travel to the US, this does not apply to you.
