答案是E，不懂B为什么不对？    还有OG上关于B的解释什么意思？   B貌似的确可以support的
B It does not matter how much fossil fuel was used to manufacture the older technologies originally.
Th at has no bearing on whether more fossil fuel would have been expended as a result of the
continued operation of the industries if the partial switch to newer technologies had not occurred.


似乎点睛之笔是“the result of the continued operation",  这又是啥意思？

B探讨的是生产新旧机器需要多少fossil fuel, 与以后operations要用多少fossil fuel没有关系

题目中提到的fossil fuels power 新旧technology的问题，而B中却说道了manufacture的问题，所以解释中才出现了it does not matter这样的话吧~~楼主觉得这样解释可以吗？这题我也有点朦~~~

B说的是生产制造新旧机器的问题，而不是新旧机器在以后生产产品当中的消耗问题
