IBM Consulting, Booz Allen Hamilton, and some small, specialized consulting firms have been here for info session. But Deloitte Consulting, PwC, and other big names haven't come here for info session. Don't know whether they will be here in the future.
As far as I know, mainland Chinese students just begin to find intern, as most of them want to get intern in the states rather than other places. Most of them rely on the resources of career development office(CDO). CDO has built good relationships with some employers and help us pass along resumes to these employers.
To be honest, some of us don't understand either. Among its numerous programs, GMBA was launched last year and EMBA will have its charter class next year. We don't know whether the school will focus on these two programs. But we do feel that the school has poured a lot of resources in the GMBA program and tried to make it one of the best in the future. Currently, the school is hiring more talented and experienced professors from other top schools. It is also renting new space and buying more teaching facilities. All these, we believe, will further enhance the quality of GMBA program.
House rentals are quite convenient here, although the price may not be cheap. Monthly rent could vary from USD 300 to 900 per people, depending on where and what type of the house you are looking for. TAs and RAs are generally granted for students who have scholarship, but not always. I am not familiar with bank systems in China, so please forgive me that I can not give you any advice about funding your program.
