请教一道数学题和数学的几个细节问题。关键是题目意思看的纠结= =

1.Henry purchased 3 items during a sale. He received a 20 percent discount off the regular price of the most expensive item and a 10 percent discount off the regular price of each of the other 2 items. Was the total amount of the 3 discounts greater than 15 percent of the sum of the regular prices of the 3 items?
(1)The regular price of the most expensive item was $50, and the regular price of the next most expensive item was 20.
(2)The regular price of the least expensive item was $15.


答案是A。= =这是为什么啊。the regular price of the next most expensive item\regular price of the most expensive item\regular price of the least expensive item这几个短语与原题是什么关系啊。。


顺便再请教几个小问题
2.      3/4 is 1/4 more than x.这句话的意思是不是3/4=1/4+x呢？
3.     the tree is 1/5 taller than it was at the end of the 4th year.    这句话的意思是不是此树比第四年末要高1/5?但是我对答案的时候发现正确的理解应该是：树又增高了20%。。到底应该怎么理解呢？
4.      {y}is the least integer y greater than or equal to, 虽然原意应该是{y}是不小于y的最小整数；但为什么我觉得按照句子意思应该翻译成{y}是y大于或者等于的最小整数呢？


请教各位大侠告诉我面对“比较”类型的题目的时候到底怎么理解题意呢？

3，这题我当时也苦闷了很久，但一般规律是有%或者percent的，就是（1+X%）n1=n2

是啊，关于第3点，我当时当做1/5 unit算结果选项中没有，最后只好按照percent来做了~最担心的是万一1/5unit算出来的结果选项中有的话，我就真不知道该怎么选了啊。。
请问一下第四个小问题，按照英文字面意思难道不应该是y大于或等于的最小整数么...囧啊。
