While I chose to attend HBS, I got into Johnson as well, so I can help here! : ) The answer is that you can do this however you want--talking about the past, the future, or both! It is up to you. But the MOST important thing is to be creative. We have worked with clients who have only talked about their past experiences (and they were accepted at Johnson) and we have also worked with clients who talked about their futures (and they were accepted!) The key is to be creative. That is, you dont want this to become a resume--your resume will of course be submitted elsewhere in your application. So here, you should talk about things that do NOT appear in your resume, and you need to find ways to be creative about it. For inspiration, I recommend that you take a look at the Table of Contents for an American author named J. Maarten Troost. He has some very creative Tables of Contents--and they may inspire you!
