不知道这里A，B的解释是什么意思哈。。
但是区分ABC与DE是因为文中的结构是"Researchers agreed that ... but that ..."，平行对称的，可排除ABC。
而且A和B都有明显的错误：
A:  "was or was not" 很罗嗦，表示“是或不是”时，应该用"whether"
B: 根据此的原始性质，"to determine" 比 " for determining"好
