包括C干扰选项中的 “other bugs”题目中讨论的是某种bug——不过这里就将的没有OG明确,OG更加直白的在一开始就说了“suffer an allergic reaction to certain sulfi tes, ”,K家则是说a certain computer program creates temporary files on the computer on which it is installed然后再说the files里面包括的bug,隐蔽性更加强啊。

A certain computer program creates temporary files on the computer on which it is installed. The files contain a programming error, or "bug", that, in rare cases, may cause the computer to freeze up. The temporary files are purged 90 days after the program is installed. Since no program will copy the bug to any other file, any computer containing the program that freezes more than 90 days after the program has been installed does not freeze because of this program.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the conclusion above?

A.     A computer that freezes due to the installation of the program in question produces a display that is similar to that which is displayed when computers freeze for many other reasons.
B.    The code that causes the freezing will be eliminated in a future release of the program.
C.    Other bugs in the programming may reveal themselves more than 90 days after the program is installed.
D.    A person can copy the programming code containing the bug to other files that are purged with less frequency than the temporary files.
E.    There are some computers on which the program is installed that appear to be unaffected by the programming bug.

--
The conclusion of the stimulus is that computers that freeze up more than 90 days after the program is installed – that is, after the temporary files containing the programming bug are purged – must freeze for reasons other than a reaction to the bug. The evidence is that the temporary files containing the bug are purged 90 days after the installation, and that neither the program itself nor any other program copies the bug to any longer-lived file. The assumption is that the bug cannot be copied by any other means. Since choice (D) contradicts this assumption, it is the correct choice.
Choice (A) is outside the scope – the display on the computer when it freezes is not mentioned in the stimulus, either for the program in question or for any other program!
Choice (B) is also immaterial – the stimulus is about the bug as it currently affects computers, not about its imminent demise.
Choice (C) is irrelevant, since we're only discussing one particular bug.
Choice (E) is outside the scope. We're concerned only with the computers the bug does affect, not the ones it doesn't affect.

    conclusion:
-computer would NOT freeze because of the bug associated with the program(if >90 days ... so that the program is automatically purged)
-allergic people would NOT (when drinking the wine) get allergy to sulfi tes(if sulfi tes has NOT been added by the wine maker)
    assumption
-the bug can NOT be copied by any other means
-the sulfi tes can NOT exist by any other means (for example, "naturally present" in the wine)

84 Many people suffer an allergic reaction to certain sulfi tes, including those that are commonly added to wine as
preservatives. However, since there are several winemakers who add sulfi tes to none of the wines they produce,
people who would like to drink wine but are allergic to sulfi tes can drink wines produced by these winemakers
without risking an allergic reaction to sulfi tes.

Which of the following is an assumption on which the argument depends?

(A) These winemakers have been able to duplicate the preservative effect produced by adding sulfi tes by
means that do not involve adding any potentially allergenic substances to their wine.

(B) Not all forms of sulfi te are equally likely to produce the allergic reaction.

(C) Wine is the only beverage to which sulfi tes are commonly added.

(D) Apart from sulfi tes, there are no substances commonly present in wine that give rise to an allergic reaction.

(E) Sulfi tes are not naturally present in the wines produced by these winemakers in amounts large enough to
produce an allergic reaction in someone who drinks these wines.

通读题干后,premise 1  many people对certain sulfi tes过敏,包括被夹在葡萄酒中用作防腐剂的certain sulfi tes,

A These winemakers have been able to duplicate the preservative effect produced by adding sulfi tes by
means that do not involve adding any potentially allergenic substances to their wine.

B Not all forms of sulfi te are equally likely to produce the allergic reaction.

C Wine is the only beverage to which sulfi tes are commonly added.
看到绝对化形容词要警惕,况且这完全和题目没啥关系,对葡萄酒中的ST是不是过敏,和葡萄酒是不是唯一被加入ST的饮料无关;

(D) Apart from sulfi tes, there are no substances commonly present in wine that give rise to an allergic reaction.

(E) Sulfi tes are not naturally present in the wines produced by these winemakers in amounts large enough to
produce an allergic reaction in someone who drinks these wines.

这题A的"display"也跟OG那题A的"preservative effect"类似,无关话题。

A certain type of mold known to cause a skin rash was discovered in the air-conditioning system of an office building where the workers had been complaining of this skin rash. The company hired to eliminate the mold cleaned out the entire air-conditioning system with a spray that was scientifically proven to kill this type of mold within 30 days. Therefore, any worker's skin rash appearing more than 30 days after the air-conditioning system had been cleaned could not have been caused by this particular mold.

Which of the following, if true, most seriously weakens the conclusion above?

A.    The skin rash caused by the mold resembles rashes caused by common allergies.
B.    Excessive moisture buildup in the AC system, which was the primary cause of the mold, was subsequently eliminated by repairs to the system.
C.    The spray used to eliminate the mold is not effective against all types of organisms that may grow in AC systems.
C.    The mold found in the building's AC system can survive and breed in many parts of the building, including the carpeting.
E.    In buildings whose AC systems are infested with this mold, some individuals do not develop skin rashes.

--
The passage concludes that, since the mold in the AC system must all have been killed within 30 days of spraying, skin rashes that developed more than 30 days after spraying were not caused by the mold. To weaken this conclusion, the correct answer must show that some mold must have survived the spraying. Choice (D) does this by stating that there are places in the building other than the AC system where the mold could survive, and perhaps continue to cause skin rashes among workers. Therefore, (D) is the correct choice.

Choice (A) is a 180; it strengthens the conclusion by reinforcing the idea that new skin rashes in the building, and possibly even the earlier rashes, can be attributed to causes other than the mold. Choices (B), (C), and (E) are all out of scope; they do not address the question whether skin rashes that occurred more than 30 days after the spraying were caused by the mold.
