Position: Head of China Franchise Corporates, North China Department: OCC, China Location: Beijing Scope of Role: ? Play the leading role in developing business portfolio and delivering result for China (Franchise) Global Corporate segment. ? To proactively manage existing and prospective clients to achieve agreed cost and revenue and volume targets in respect of the portfolio designated with the objective to maximize profits whilst minimize bad debts. ? Support the Head of China Franchise Corporates, China to sustain Standard Chartered Bank’s leading position in the China Franchise Corporates segment globally. Key Responsibilities: ? Relationship Management - Develop and manage the client relationship (including building strong senior access to the target client base in order to achieve our core foreign banks status to key target clients). - Fosters strong relationships between product management and sales with a view to maximizing the potential opportunities associated with integrated delivery. - Proactively cross sell all Bank’s products and services with emphasis on Global Market products (treasury, corporate advisory and project finance) and commercial products (cash, trade, working capital/term loan). ? Management Responsibility - Play an effective role in assisting CFC Head, product team and other senior management team in formulating the China Franchise Corporates regional strategy. - Account for the budget and performance of his/her own RM team - Set up direction and set clear objective to his/her own RM team member to ensure an effective execution of their daily task. - Provide clear guidance and training to RM team on their credit/system skill, knowledge and career development. - To lead, motivate, duly communicate with team members to enhance team work. ? Business Risk Management - To identify systemic and non-systemic risk factors which may affect the credit profile of the portfolio of his/her RM team and to manage the impact from such risk factors on precautionary basis with the purpose of safeguarding the credit quality of the portfolio. - To cooperate with Credit Officers in portfolio management, credit due diligence and structuring. - To ensure his/her team member to collaboration with CA team, GAM, RMs and product partners to prepare quality Group Reviews and BCAs for key CFC and complex deals, which includes in-depth and objective credit analysis, workable and often creative facility structure, comprehensive industry and business analysis, well articulated account strategy, rigorous risk and repayment analysis with reasonable and measurable business and industry risk triggers. ? Compliance and Control - AML: To comply with and ensure his/her RM team member to comply with the Money Laundering Prevention Procedures and the Code of Conduct. To be alterative at all times to unusual or possibly suspicious customer activity, and should report promptly any suspicious activity to the respective Business Money Laundering Prevention Officer (BMLPO) and line manager as well as Country MLPO if considered necessary. - KYC: To oversight his/her team member to obtain and maintain all required KYC information and verification for all of its customers. Selection Criteria: ? Relevant commercial and/or investment banking experience and be familiar with traditional corporate and investment banking products; ? Preferably experience in working for a foreign bank; ? Experience in dealing with SOEs, conglomerates and large corporate; ? Credit experience in preparing business credit applications and processing credit approvals ? Native mandarin speaker; ? Good communication and writing skill in English; ? Team player; and ? Solid academic background, with relevant training in business/finance/accounting. Preferably with a Master’s Degree; MBA is a plus. |
