不明白答案D的含义。分析：国家利益(?)原文没有提到过,unsurpassed原文似乎也没有说？这个D好像最应该排除 ;)

“retaliatory power so great”  that " it could not defend itself against such retaliation"就是说has unsurpassed military power。 而且 in the country's interest 不一定就是这具体的国家利益。 它是说 符合这个国家的利益。或者简单说就是对这个国家有利

同意mike的看法。。但是在快速做题的时候如果没细想，很容易把它排除。。因为它长得很不象。。我也做错了这道题。

原文是说：A国只要报复的打击>B国所能抵挡的力量。。则A国对B国就有威慑力。
E讲的是有威慑力的条件是：A国家报复的力量>B国家报复的力量。。比较的方式和原文不同

此题用排除法可以很快得到答案.

A,C错在原文中deterence是充分条件, AC中变成了必要条件.
B,E原文没有relaliatory power的比较.
D中的interest是common sense. 不被侵略当然是national interest.
