B选项的错误可以理解为“which 引导的定语从句，which必须紧跟在先行词后面，所以B错”吗？

这里的which指代歧义的，既可以指代chips, 又可以指代prices, 无论指代那个都需要用are, 另外如果指代chips也会导致意思不合理，因为不能说chips are due to a oversupply.

此外plunging的逻辑主语我感觉也存在问题的
