Wanna Share how i prepare. I am a Hong Kong newcomers to Shanghai to work... Finished my GMAT exam today ^.^ Q 49 + V 40 = GMAT 720

CR: A must study... Read Powerscore GMAT CR Bible > Do 2nd half of OG > Do 2nd half of OG Verbal Practice > Kaplan Advance > Study all errors in OG and OG Verbal Practice

SC: A time saver... Read Powerscore GMAT SC Bible > Same as CR

RC: Time burner and Takes lots of energy during exam... Read Powerscore Verbal Session Bible > Do 2nd half of OG > Do 2nd half of OG Verbal Practice > Kaplan Advance (I didn't study the errors in OG again... don't have time)

DS and PS: Score saver, but the test is not as easy as I think... Do 2nd half of OG > Do 2nd half of OG Verbal Practice > Kaplan Advance (I didn't study the errors in OG again... don't have time)

AWA: do templates for both session to save time and time management is the KEY... Practice 5 passage in Argument and Issue > Study the "portable" sentences and apply them in your exam (I don't have enough time to proof-read... sorry) Do worry too much 5.0 is 55 percentile...

Test psychology: Do 6 full length practices (Do NOT include AWA) to learn stress management during the exam (UTMOST IMPORTANCE)

Overall, GMAT is a test of stress... if you can manage the frastruation in the exam room... you are already half your way to 700+... the other half is study

Back... Got My AWA... 6.0

I think for AWA, the most important thing is length, ironically, because the markers only have 3 minutes for each essay. You need to have 5 paragraphs, with 4 to 6 sentences for each. Except the concluding paragraph, which can consist only 3 sentences.

Also, have templates and conjunctions words remembered is super useful. You don't need to think about the structure and delivery in the exam hall with these in mind. All you need is content.

Although my exam score is not high (720/6) compared with many of the bloggers, I hope my humble suggestions help. Good Luck!
