Hello everyone...
I plan to take my MBA in 5 years. Please be a little bit patient to listen to my story..Thanks.
I have to go to TOP 15BS's MBA program...Actually it is not entirely for career development. Please do not ask me why...It's a long and sad story.
Currently, I am studying in an US university, (maybe you know,UIUC) on MSF program.
I am now with G 750 and T 105 and confident to have better scores in the next 5 years.
Except for hunting a job in those "big name companies" and keeping my GPA high, what else should I do now and plan to do?
Again, thank you for your time and help! Good luck to everyone.

How about spending some time on extra-curriculars?

"big-name companies" matter less than your ability to succeed within a company.

Lastly, the things that will most affect your chances of success are exactly what you omit- "why mba, why in 5 years, why a particular school"

Thanks a lot..."why mba, why in 5 years, why a particular school"  is in "essay question" I can handle that (althought I am lieing on why!)
So do you mean I should be consider a senior position in a small name company instead of junior position in big names, right?

Agree with jelt2359! "why mba, why in 5 years, why a particular school", these are what the schools want to know.  And actually if you study for 2 years in the states and got MSF degree, you don't need to take TOEFL any more.  I think you know that. So pay some attention to extra-curriculars. Also sum up those unique quailities of yourself. Take sometime to visit those schools, have some talk with the students/alumni/staff. You will know what to do do.
Good luck to you and to every one.

'Lying', 'Copy and paste' are the last things you wanna do on your essays...

some volunteer, community services may help build up your EC..

I think what matters is not "big or small", it's what you do. Generally speaking, big is better than small.

one more question...
Does application of MBA require recommandations from academic area?

Lying is the easiest way to get you dinged. Most applicants are far worse liars than they imagine. It tends to be immediately apparent that you don't have a good reason.

Even "career advancement" doesn't have to be the sole reason. If you have other reasons, it may be good to explore them. Whatever reason you have, I'm willing to bet that there has been some other applicant before that has had the same reasons.

No, MBA applications do not require, nor generally encourage, academic recommendations.
