1. MIT 的MFin是MSF里最好的  也是第一贵,Chicago 是不是最好的MFE?难说,完全是不同性质的没可比性.2.MIT完全是面向就业,想PHD,别去,帮助不大.3.MIT的开在斯隆Chicago的在哪个系下??这一点极重要,在你找工作时.4.打听一下上届就业,不仅看OFFER的数量,还要质量,同是投行的OFFER,M&A与中后台完全不可比.5.Columbia....就不说了

不了解项目本身请不要根据学院或者学校的名气瞎说！ MIT一个刚开的项目被你吹到天上去了，连Columbia都不如了？？ 你看看芝加哥和Columbia之前的placement吧。 谢谢。

都有朋友在读。我朋友在读Columbia时MIT的MSF还没出来呢。Columbia这么有底蕴的项目都比不上一个刚开的了。你看看MIT刚开招的什么人，然后再想想现在的placement为什么会好。  你也可以看看之前Columbia的。 你看看什么叫做底蕴。

PHD比较都出来了。然后我告诉你，芝加哥是绝对绝对的老大！~

MIT econ/finance PhD is very awesome and is top5 in the world （it is really meaningless to rank within the top 5. However, the MSF programme is really a crap, at least at the moment. it is designed purely as a money machine, leveraging the MIT brandname. Have a look at the curriculum and you will find it is mainly inclined to corporate finance.

Chicago MSFM is in the math department, though quite a few students take courses at Booth. Columbia MFE is really declining, despite Derman is one of the godfathers of QF.

In general, QF/MFE/FM masters will open doors to inteviewing opportunities for a S&T job. however, there are too many graduates at the moment. if you are interested in S&T, then either Chicago/Columbia. if you are not admitted to MBA, but will take a corporate finance job, then MIT will be fine.

说的挺有道理。~ Chicago和Columbia的话还可以想想这个专业的校友们。那么多年了，不少人都混得很好。
至于PHD，我也赞成Chicago是老大。 或许除了Chicago，别的top5的学校可以随意。  我们院几个教授都告诉我，如果能去Chicago，哪都不用想了。~恩，说的仅是金融而已。

整个金融工程才多少年历史?现代金融才几十年历史?这种完全以就业为导向的MSF\MFE还有底蕴可谈?普林的历史很短,但就业最好,就最牛,可惜一般人够不着.
   在我看来金融\mba等商科项目完全是花钱镀个金,主要考虑学校名声,其它全是次要的.耶鲁的mba排名远不如西北,但很多人会选前者.明天哈佛开一个会计硕士项目,肯定会是最好的项目 ,虽然奥斯汀会计排名最好.
