How to make my intern more interesting?

Hello, newbie here. I'm a senior undergraduate student and recently having an internship at a voice-broker, as a preparation for my MFE programs which I have applied for. My main job is writing and erasing quotation information from our clients onto the white board, which seems boring but kind of busy. Sometimes I could have a rest by writing simple VBA programs for our poor stats and confirmations system. I still have to work 2 months there, therefore I'd like to get some advice from you guys about obtaining more sense of the FX market and the strategies of the market makers since I am working close to the market.

P.S. My undergraduate major is Operations Research. And pls suggest if this question is not suitable for this board.

it would be interesting if you can get some experiences in hi-frequency fx data analysis. it is very hot/useful area. if you are in operation, then you may analyze/develop a good model of optimal execution strategy?

THX for your advice.... I don't get much network within my office right now, and seems this Trade System does not pay much attention to model or structure research.... may be I should try a more quant internship in market makers after this one.
