偶对上文红色部分的理解是：在化石样品中，年老的个体并没有超出正常的比例。即这部分年老的个体不具有单独的代表性。


但是，在og中的解释：because older individuals were not disproportionately represented among the fossils. The implication of this conclusion is that older individuals might be expected to have a higher rate of tooth breakage.


这样一来，og的解释理解是年老的个体有个性，即有代表性。与偶的双重否定表肯定的理解相反？尽管这题做对了，但是仍想好好理解此句，请nn赐教，深谢。

飞将mm,我的原意是指问句子的意思，不问题目的，结果你负责任的巴题目给讲了。我明白你的意思，但是我不明白og的意思。


原问：比例正常，所以可以不考虑样品的年龄问题；


weaken: 在测定样品年龄是可能把老的看作小的（所以其实是老的比例不正常,应该加以考虑，而不能忽视。）


og的解释说，老的可能有更多的断牙现象。。。。。。

我觉得楼上的朋友没有真正理解overrepresented的意思，其意思是：代表过多的。即原句的意思是：排除这种说法的依据是老的个体不过多。其隐含意思是老的个体更可能出现断牙现象，不能排除这种说法。

不知明白没有，水平有限，还请大家继续讨论。
