第一轮有Offer了，又想申第二轮的，大家Deposit准备交了吗?怎么才能把时间错开？能跟学校商量一下晚点交吗？

In that case, you should've put your favorite school in R1.

anyways, to answer your question, there is no exception for delaying your deposit. Most people would put in their deposit, and not register when they get in their favorite.

I know it's a bit wasteful, but I don't think you have much options.

for some schools there could be an applied delay.

yes, i guess so. you can write to AdCom to see if the deadline can be extended.

but you definitely need some good reason for the extension application, good luck

I've never heard of "applied delay", I've only heard of "deferred admission". In that case, even though you're admitted for say year 2010, you don't start until 2011. However, MBA schools don't grant that very often, as they see as u should only apply when u r ready. Moreover, if you're granted "deferred admission", there is no guarantee that you'll be in for next year.

Of course, I can be wrong. Talk to the admission staff, and see what they say. Good luck.

i think what LZ is concerned about is deposit deadline extension rather than offer deferral...
