Mereology is the formal theory of part-whole relations that regards any whole as identical to the sum of its parts. One element of this theory is the belief that any two objects with the same parts must be identical. However, due to the limitations of our observational techniques, we can never determine with certainty whether two objects are composed of identical parts(reason) . For example, we are unable to identify differences that could be present at the sub-automic level. Therefore, mereology is yet another philosophical theory that has been debunked by the limitations of modern socience.(conclusion)
