Dear XXXX Congratulations! I am pleased to inform you that your application to the Master of Science in Finance (MSF) program has been evaluated by our admission committee and we are recommending you for admission to the Graduate College beginning in June 2010. Your admission is subject to final approval of the Graduate College. Admission to the MSF is very competitive and the committee is highly selective of the applicants they recommend for admission. I offer you my sincere congratulations on this achievement. You will receive electronic confirmation of your official admission to the Graduate College once it is completed. Information regarding orientation, arrival instructions and course registration will be posted to our website in 2010. All pre-term and orientation activities and schedules are being finalized and will occur prior to the start of classes in early June. These events will likely begin in late May and are mandatory for all students. A $1000 deposit is required to hold your seat in the program; pending final application approval by the graduate college. You must pay $500 by Monday, January 4, 2010. The second installment of $500 is due on or before Wednesday, March 15, 2010. The deposit may be paid through our application site (www3.business.uiuc.edu/apply/msf/index.asp). Simply click on the button on the bottom right-hand corner to pay your deposit. You may also mail a check to MSF Admissions, 330E Wohlers Hall, 1206 S. Sixth Street, Champaign, IL 61820. Should you have any questions regarding the deposit, please contact us at 217-244-9203. Please be sure to confirm the mailing address you have listed in your application, under "Check Application Status." For international students who will require a Visa, when we receive your Visa documents (I-20/DS2019), we will send those to you via express mail. The Department of Finance at the University of Illinois is home to several of the top researchers in the finance industry. You can expect the MSF program to be intensive and rigorous. We hope that you will choose to be a part of this challenging program. Again, we congratulate you on your admittance to the MSF program. |
