Just got Don Martin's call when cooking at home with lg.    So excited that    we completely forgot about the wok on the stove.    Made several calls to family and friends until the smell of    burnt beef alerted us...



The 2+ weeks' stressful waiting finally ended -- still feeling dizzy now...


Something about myself: Reapplicant (applied to K/M/UCLA 2 years ago, focused on Chicago this time, weird?), working in Shanghai (moved here from Beijing a year ago); BA in English language & literature    + 6 years in marketing communications=a complete "poet"    (untypical for quant-heavy Chicago, which can be a sterotype, though, from my understanding of the school).


When I calm down a bit tomorrow, I can start to think about the visa headache...so far, so good...

btw, chicago is a nice city but very windy. some of its view look like shanghai.
