自己给这道题做个思路解答吧。如有不对希望指正！1、无根据假设：把其他工厂的drill bits 放到 Cookville也能像原来那样每一美元生产10个。也许增加的产量超出了规模效应，会使成本上升。2、把其他machine parts 交给其他工厂可能并无法如预期那样降低总的生产成本，因为那些工厂生产machine parts可能要耗费很大成本。

1. The author neglects that maybe only several workers in the factory in Cookville can produce ten drill bits for each dollar, so the production capability of this factory have come to the level that can not be surpassed. Thus, devoting the Cookville factory entirely to drill bit production does not necessarily result in the reduction of the overall drill bit production costs.

2.Even if the overall drill bit production costs can be reduced, it doesn't mean that the overall production costs will be reduced. 

3. The author fails to support his assertion that reducing the prduction costs of individual machine parts is the only way to achieve the larger goal of reducing the overall producion costs. Other possible factors are also contributed to this goal..
