B,C it没有指代对象. D Australia was (what was) the antipodes. what was多余，同样的罗嗦表达还有be (what must be/ is) responsible for..(GMAT考过）


E时态应保持过去时。


注意：在GMAT中，尽量保持原句时态，除非有明确的时间状语要求改变时态。在没有明确时间状语时，时态尽量保持将帮助你排除一些干扰选项。另外，建议你将干扰选项和正确选项成对的记住一些。这样会培养对错误的敏感度。本人只作了一点。

b,brfore there was Australa ,it was the antipodes, it逻辑意思上这里不可以指代australia, 当有Australia之前, it(指代没有）仔细体会一下


c,it was the antipodes that was Australia, that指代单数名词，这里只有it, 可是it又指代什么呢？指代出错了吧

antipodes可以和单数V或复数V连用, a 也是这样的哟

看了楼上两位的疑问和解释，又生疑惑，C中为什么说IT没有指待？it可以做形式主语，因为后面有that ，补回去是Austrilia was the antipodes

好像记得LZM 还是BY解释说，C没有表达出before这个时间概念，所以排除。

有NN帮忙一下吗？
