答案是C，可是D怎麼排除呢？

第一题 A 。paying 修饰问题

B  for which 的定语从句是有问题的，不合适

C 不能是previously 而应该是previous ,且最好用compared with

E as opposed to 不对

第二题的for 是 因为的意思，其他改变句意

第三题 E肯定不对啦，while从句主谓都不一致

当然啦，我觉得应该是C， 因为in the last ten years 表示直到现在的动作，所以用完成时态更好

第四题的D有一个明显的错误就是bringing  修饰问题，如果是修饰前面的主句，则应该和more than doubling the country's size用and 连接
