Inmany scientific disciplines, scientists generally do not do highly creative
work beyond the age of forty, a tendency that has normally been taken to show
that aging carries with it a loss of creative capacity.  However, by the age of forty most scientists
have been working in their chosen field for at least fifteen years, so an
alternative explanation is that spending too long in a single field reduces the
opportunity for creative thought.

A的意思是在那些超过40岁仍旧做高创新工作的科学家里，大部分进入这个领域的时间都比一般的科学家要晚。——是的，那就是选择后一个观点；不是，选择前一个观点。

碰到这种二者选一（比如该题 是进入时间长 还是 年龄大）的题目，把其中一个条件设相同（不动），另一个条件设不同（动）， 看到底是那个原因在起作用：比如说A，回答是 那么创造力就是和进入时间长短相关的；回答不是，那么就不能说进入时间长短起明显作用，因为文章只有两种解释，所以就只能支持年龄大的解释
