"Among a group of 2500 people,35 percent invest in municipal bonds,18 percent invest in oil stock,and 7 percent invest in both municipal bonds and oil stocks.If 1 person is to be randomly selected from the 2500 people,what is the probability that the persone selected will be one who invests in municipal bonds but not in oil stocks?"

(a) 9/50; (b) 7/25; (c) 7/20; (d) 21/50; (e) 27/50.

(b) is right,but I chose (c).

ETS是怎样的出题思路。我的理解是2500当中，35％只投资地方债，18％只投资股票，7％即投地方债又投股票。按照答案的推理，7％是即包含在35％里也包含在18％里。

大家是怎么理解的？

你的理解是正确的啊 不过该题不需要考虑这一点

只用清楚“the persone selected will be one who invests in municipal bonds but not in oil stocks”

指的是 包含在35%的投资municipal bonds 里面并且不在7%投资both的那部分的人

所以只需要用35%-7%就是了

7％是即包含在35％里也包含在18％里。

呵呵也许这就是ETS的出题思路吧 遇见好几个类似的题

我觉得楼主的理解是不对的

既然是用and并列，就是表示不重复，也就是说35%，和7%是两回事，那么就不该是包含关系

已经遇见几个类似的题目了，从答案反推，7％应该是35％和18％的交集。我第一次的理解35、18、7是相互独立的
