9 some people prefer to live in a small town, others prefer to live in a big city. Which place would you prefer to live in? Use reasons and specific examples to support your answer.

Compared with the peaceful and purity life in a small town, I would prefer to live in a big city. I make the choice not only for the convenience of living in big cities, but for its high education level, more choices and opportunities as well.

First of all, we can enjoy a more modern and convenient life in big cities. Living in a small town, you even should have to drive miles to the nearest city for a latest cloth to catch the tendency. However, the situation would change greatly only if you settle down to a big city, for a large store may just lie on the next street near your house. All kinds of services release people from complex handwork. You will never think of how to sew a doll for your little daughter. There are varieties entertainments. Few of these can be enjoyed in a small town.

Education level in big cities is usually better than small towns. A big city usually plays an important role in many aspects around its surroundings, like economics, politics and culture. Universities and colleges are likely located in or around the big city, for their own development in some how depend on the local economics and culture. For example, Columbia University is in New York, Berkeley is in San Francisco. Besides, big cities also have prefect education system ranging from kindergarten to high school education.

Additional, people especially young would have more choices and opportunities in big cities. With large companies and prosperous trades, graduate students will have a better start in a big city. It is true that life in metropolis brings stress and burden, but the young could improve rapidly under heavy stress. The peaceful small town with fresh air would be pursued by retailers, not the young like me.

In conclusion, life in a big city attracts me more than in a small town. Small towns lack enough opportunities for graduates like me, and we must bear the inconvenience and low education level there. With the reasons and examples above, I would rather live in a big city than in a small town.
