请问一下:

对国际学生,Wharton是不是没有不需要co-signer的贷款了,今年?

已经看了学校网站,说是鼓励在国内自己解决。。。

This year, Wharton has a loan program for international students who do not have an U.S. Co-signer. The loan has an interest rate of Prime plus 3%. In order to provide these rates, Wharton will share some of the potential default risk.

Several specific questions, just trying to scheduling the time:

1 I can see that application fee should be paid once we submit application. So how long does it usually take for electronic payment reach B-Schools? Will little delay matter?

2 When do you usually ask testing centers to send iBT and GMAT scores to ensure they can arrive in time. if delay occurred due to system problems, will the application be considered in the next round or AD can forgive several days' postpone?

3 How about transcript. I learned that the school requires us to self-report first. but I wonder whether we still need scanned version during application, and whether we need to mail official ones directly from university upon admission.

Thanks!

请问:对 reapplicant 来说,是否最好申请第一轮?还是说第一轮第二轮的可能性一样大?

Dear Friends,

Thanks a lot for posting so much useful info.  I would like some advice from you.

First a brief profile:

GMAT: 650 TOEFL: exempt (MA in UK)

BA in English in China, MA in social policy in University of York in UK.

W/E: one year sales representative in a fty in China

(Then I moved to Greece) 2 years experience as BUYER in a well-known Greek supermarket in Athens

I am aware that my GMAT score on verbal is too low. It took me sometime to decide whether to proceed now or re-take the exam and apply next year. Finally I decide to proceed and give it a try. Does GMAT really matter so much? I can demonstrate my English level from other aspects.

I'm clear about my career goal--retail industry. I would like to gain management knowledge other than purchasing. However, I have difficulty to find info. on schools that are strong in retail domain. I know Wharton's strength on Supply chain Management, but I can't find info. about whether wharton is strong in the retail field. Or I'm mistaken, the retail management is within all general management courses??

Thanks very much!

Application instructions里说recommendation可以在deadline后面交,但是多晚也没有具体的说法,有没有高人解释一下关于这点?

Thanks for the help first of all.

I have 2 questions on GPA, please help to answer.

The first quetsion is about how to fill the GPA part in the application form.  I obtained my BA from China and MA from UK. Both universities have the system in 100 scale for the scores, and I have only transcript which states scores for each course. I don't have an average GPA stated on the transcript. Is there a stardard way in Wharton for us to calculate by ourselves? Should we calculate by ourselves or better leave this part empty and let Wharton calculate according to my transcript? What if there is a difference between my calculation and Wharton's? Will it casue problem in my application?

The second quesion is that during my undergraduate study, I participated in quite a lot of courses besides my own major because of my own wide interests.  The university has listed all the courses in the transcript.  I have high scores in my own major, those scores from the other courses, however, have lowered my average GPA.How will Wharton judge on this? Should I list always all the courses I particpated?

BIG THANKS.
