MBA定位和选校

自己情况：

    

国内top2医学院本科

美国top10医学院生物类硕士

毕业后在美国小规模生物技术公司2年产品经理，想申请2010年MBA,入学时有3年工作经验

GMAT 720/5

MBA后desired professional goal是finance.但是结合目前自己的经验背景觉得申请Heathcare,biotech，consumergoods management比较好讲故事。

总体来讲，自己属于年轻没有什么工作经验，比较有想法,判断力和执行力。

由于家庭原因prefer加州和纽约的学校.

打算全部申tier 1的MBA:

1.UCBerkeley - Haas

2.Columbia

3.UPenn-Wharton

4.UM-Ross

    

觉得自己定位比较高，打算放手一搏,毕竟nothing to lose.

不知道基于自己的情况，上面的定位是否reasonable(缺乏工作经验，年轻，

healthcare方向同时也有进入finance的机会）

除了wharton可能有点难度，其他三个其实没你想象中难

谢谢大伙的意见。考虑到时间还算充裕，打算再多申请1-2所。

个人感觉Stern和Columbia是否偏好招以前做ib的？

考虑到Stern和Columbia基本是一个层次的，Columbia07年招生726，internaltional占

42%, Stern08年的size是415，我想class大的成功的机会多些。

NYU-Stern (考虑中)

UMICH-Ross

UPENN-Wharton（难度大)

更正自己的一个错误:Columbia的726包括春季入学的200，所以实际招生人数跟Stern相当。况且二者相对都prefer bankers.
考虑到自己health care的背景，应该争取把essay niche to health care management方向。这样Wharton, 和Duke才会有希望。

1. To get into Wharton HCM, you have to get into Wharton (HCM is just a major declared at admission). Wharton by itself

may be harder to get into than other schools on your list.

2. That a school does not have expertise in healthcare does not mean you do not have good chance of getting into that school,

say if you have a goal of healthcare consulting, healthcare equity analysis etc.

My suggestions would be:

study the schools you are interested in

find the schools that fit you best

diversify the levels of schools you apply

also consider other factor such as: 

Ross is very similiar to Fuqua on many aspects
