偶发现有些文章词基本上还能看懂, 可看完了也不知道啥意思, 郁闷啊:

下面两个句子的理解请nn指点:

黄色的是否不是主干? (这么长的句子我都看晕了)

like the old approach, however, this new approach excluded women.
 
是不是等于 however, this new approach excluded women like the old approach ? ?

究竟老方法是包括女人的呢? 还是不包括女人啊?

我觉得这个句子主干是 The new school sought to (go beyond the focus...) by...

这个出现于60到70年代的political history 学校(?学派)寻求超越传统political historians研究的视角,新视角即直接研究普通民众的political practices ,传统political historians将重心放在leaders and government institutions 上.

that emerged in the 1960’s and 1970’s 是用来修饰school的定语

至于however,就是说,这个新方法也没有把women考虑进去.等于说,新旧方法都没有把women考虑进去.

至于however转折,是想说,虽然新方法寻求突破,却仍然不可避免忽略了女人这个重要群体...
