B不是大象入侵菜园子的原因，只是陈述了一个事实。题目要求给出the raiding would likely persist的原因。所以B应该是无关吧。

我刚开始也选择了B，后来认真想了一下，可能是以下原因

1.题目提到，elephant sanctuaries建好后，大象还会对庄稼地产生危害，问原因。b提出，因为大象对自己不吃的植物进行破坏。假设答案B的解释正确，可以推出因为大象不吃庄稼地里的植物，所以才会去破坏。答案b将庄稼地里的植物认为是大象不吃的食物，这与题目是相悖的。因此不对。这样反推比较麻烦。还有另一个思考角度

2.选项中提到的plant过于笼统，并没有限定是cultivated land里的plant。很多plant满足“大象不吃”这一条件，这些plant即存在cultivated land里，又存在elephant sanctuaries里（注意，题目仅说elephant sanctuaries guarantee elephants sufficient natural vegetation，并没说没有大象不吃的东西）。因此，如果elephant sanctuaries也有大象不吃的食物，那么大象吃饱喝足之后，就去破坏elephant sanctuaries好了，干嘛还要继续破坏庄稼地呢？因此，B选项中的plant范围太广，在解释原因的时候，又导致了很多其他问题，不是最佳选项。

其实简单说，B犯的错误就是将概念扩大，其实选项中plant，与题目中的概念不一致。

请大家考虑一下  the raiding would likely persist 中的raiding指的到底是什么？？

我觉得应该是turn to cultivated land to  satisfy their enormorous appetites....

而不是仅仅的进入land 弄坏庄家的那种raiding

那么证明大象应该是吃cultivatd crops的，只能选D
