A中的and还是不太懂：
(A) they began to grow again after the 1991 report
that linked moderate consumption of alcohol,
and particularly of red wine, with a reduced risk
of heart disease

一直以为并列两个名词的时候and前是不用加逗号的呀？
如果是插入语的话，and不就多余了么，有什么作用？
（虽然前面NN们对这个问题有所解答，但还是不太明白哈，拜托NN们再解释详细点好吗？非常感谢^_^）

 A 中的 and 到底是怎么回事？这是什么语法结构？ 有没有NN给个正统点让人信服点的解释啊。
我直接选B了。。。。。 B哪里错了呢？ 看到有人说，they 指代‘太远’，可是全句子就主语一个复数，除了主语还能指代谁啊。 不会有歧义啊。

迷惑啊。  解救我吧。

这里C选项指代red wines，但应该指代得事moderate alcohol consumption的吧

句意为王，如果没有逗号，report linked consumption of alcohol and of red wine，在读者理解是consumption和心脏病link的时候，会认为是comsumption了alcohol和red wine一起，这个被and绑定的整体，不make sense，因为这两个名词是包含的关系，没必要一起被consumption。有了逗号，再接and，就会让读者知道这里有个停顿，说明要linked不是alcohol和red wine共同的consumption，而是特别指出的red wine的consumption。是红酒和心脏病的link。
