1. 12-08 gfwindy

(Notes: Often, modifying phrases in GMAT sentences are separated
from the noun or phrases being modified.

Researchers have found that individuals who have been
blind from birth, and who thus have never seen anyone gesture, nevertheless
make hand motions when speaking just as frequently and in virtually the same
way as sighted people do, and that they will gesture
even when conversing
with another blind person.

3. 12-09, dollyshao, Shanghai,
660 (Q43, V38)

只有一道熟悉的题目,是GWD的,关于银河系的,里面有什么OF MIDDLE WAY AND

 GWD25-Q4.

Recent findings lend
strong support to the theory that a black hole lies at the center of the
Milky Way and of
many of the 100 billion other galaxies estimated to exist
in the universe.

A.
that
a black hole lies at the center of the Milky Way and of

B.
that
a black hole lies at the Milky Way’s center and

C.
that
there is a black hole lying at the milky Way’s center and

D.
of
a black hole lying at the Milky Way’s center and

E.
of
a black hole that lies at the center of the Milky Way and of

Answer: A

(notes:
the center of …and of….)

FALLEN TO一个数字 AFTER HAVING REACHED一个数字IN THE EARLY WINTER。

(notes:
我在网上查了一下,一般的用法是something has fallen (a number) after reaching (another number)

For example: The company's stock has fallen 84 percent in the last year after reaching $122 in March 2000.

但网上也有用到after it reached 和 after it had reached.

所以我觉得该题的答案应该视具体情况在after it had reached..., after reaching... ,和after it reached..

2, 12-09, bubuputin,

Xxx's
number has amounted to 15000(打个比方,就着这个数字了哈),after
_____3000 previous year.

a having reached

b 忘了

c 忘了

d it had reached to

e reaching to

4. 12-10, huxuelian1, Beijing

6. 12-12, Synn, Beijing,

 GWD-3-Q21:

(Data gathered by weather satellites has been analyzed by scientists, reporting
that the Earth’s northern latitudes have) become about ten percent greener
since 1980, due to more vigorous plant growth associated with warmer
temperatures and higher levels of atmospheric carbon dioxide.

    A. Data gathered by weather satellites has been analyzed by scientists,
reporting that the Earth’s northern latitudes have

B. Data gathered by weather satellites has been analyzed by scientists,
and they report the Earth’s northern latitudes as having

C. After analyzing data gathered by weather satellites, scientists report
that the Earth’s northern latitudes have

D. After analysis of data, gathered by weather satellites, scientists
report the Earth’s northern latitudes as having

E. After data gathered by weather satellites was analyzed by scientists,
who report that the Earth’s northern latitudes have

answer: C

Citing evidence that
the carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere has increased more than seven
percent in the last 30 years, many scientists have expressed a fear of
destroying forests and continued use of
fossil fuels will cause an
irreversible shift in Earth’s climatic pattern. Answer: B

(A) many scientists
have expressed a fear of destroying forests and continued use of

(B) many scientists have expressed a fear that destruction
of forests and continued use of

(C) many scientists have expressed a fear that destruction
of forests and continually using

    (E) a fear that many scientists have expressed is that

Q?:HUMAN BEGAN WEARING SHOES DURING 5000 TO
6000 YEARS AGO, WHICH COINCIDENTED WITH....

因为which

Coincident

As verb: The production era coincidented with the
Industrial Revolution in the United States
from. 1870 to 1930.

As adj: The composition and inferred sources of Cenozoic
magmas in Trans-Pecos Texas changed abruptly between 32 and 28 Ma, coincident
with a fundamental change in stress regime.

9. 12-13, rfanrfan, Pennsylvania,

10. 12-13, gflvyy, North America

1)考了just as...so 不知选的对否

(notes:
a filmmaker whose individual style and complete control over all elements of
production give a film its personal and unique stamp)

。。liken。。。 。。

(notes: liken sth to sth. For example: Most of the audience did not enjoy
the concert, likening it to the grinding of metal)

11. 12-15, happywawa, Beijing

that ...
and that.....

有一道not...but...

13. 12-16, GKH, Guangzhou, 690
(M51, V31)

as

14. 12-16, alicewann, Taibei, 650 (M50, V28)

15. 12-16, DuckenVic, Beijing 660 (Q39, V41)

1) not only help... but also...v. European integration.

2) ...company introduces a technology iniative that says it
can greatly reduce corporation costs....

选项有saying it
can greatly reduce/saying that it is capable of reducing.../says it is capable
of ...

(Notes:
introduces a technology initiative and says that it can reduce…. 2.
initiative.
introduce….., saying that it can…..
的主语我认为应该为公司,而不是initiative3) Using ‘can’ is always
better than using ‘be capable of doing’.

C, with simply shuffling your legs ... bla bla

D, if you simply shuffling your legs .....

(Notes:
their legs,然后再do their best to get out of the
way。
like: while you shuffle your legs as walking forward in the water, all
stingrays....

helping it to develop.

(Notes:
to 后应该跟名词(不能动名词), such as: He contributed to many magazines.

27. 12-25, yeesion, Shanghai, 690, M47, V38

completely independet from..."

28. 12-24, cypolo, Shanghai, 720, Q49, V38

迷惑的选项是 ...a whole complete..., in every details...a complete whole..., in every details 后来选了前者

By simply shuffling your legs while walking forward in the water, most stingrays will do their best to get out of the way.

A, by simply shuffling your legs while walking forward in the water, all stingrays will do

B, while simply shuffling your legs, bla bla

C, with simply shuffling your legs ... bla bla

D, If you simply shuffle your legs when you are walking forwared in the water, most stingrays will do their .

E, simply shuffling your legs as you are walking in the water, all stingrays wll try

Stingrays 是一种小鱼明显不可能shuffle your legs,然后再do their best to get out of the way。我认为如果大家如碰到这题,不妨注意一下有没有用if 或者while 等引导,且shuffle的主语是人的答案, 比如something like: while you shuffle your legs as walking forward in the water, all stingrays.
