I saw some rumors about kelley's placement recently, and I would like to give an update and clarifications.
Our second year Chinese students are still working very hard to get jobs, mostly in U.S. For mainland Chinese, i think two of nealry ten has already confirmed (one in marketing and one in investment), another one (in marketing) will go back to China in a top pharam company. For taiwanese student, the situation is better. I think three of nearly 10 got returned offers (two in corporate finance and one in marketing). also, I head someone have already got offers from their homeland.
For our first year students, I mentioned in another thread, saying based on my conversation with some friends in Tuck or UCLA, they and I even found Kelley's siutation is kind of better. Today, our GCS gave an update stat saying nearly 30% students (including domestic) have got job offers, a little bit lower than last year. But GCS director said some people are still in the process of 2nd round interview or 3rd round followed by on campus interview, so we could expect a quick rise in the end of march when those targeted companies finished their recruting. For our chinese students, we are also working very hard to find internship. Currently, we have two got job offers, one in strategy and one in corporate finance. Another with Canadian citiziship also got job offers in marketing function. I optimistically believe almost all of our first year student will finally get a satisfying intern offer.
Hope this clarifies, and good luck to every applicants and our classmates, if you can see (correct me if i am wrong)
For those admitted students: before you make the school decision, I know this will be one of the most difficult and important decisions in your life, if you want to know more about Kelley or want to chat with our faculty or current students, please let me know. Send email to : kelleymba2010(在) gmail.com. I will try my best to arrange any informal talks with you. Hope to help you make a wise and informed decision.
The Deans have asked that we bring in a slightly smaller international class. It has nothing to do with the international loan program. It does, however, relate to more limited employment opportunities for non-citizens in the U.S. International students will still be an important part of our entering class. With respect to China, we have actually made more offers of admission this year to applicants from China than last year!

Good news
how about the loan program. Is there any loan without co-signer for 2011 international MBAs?
