Best wishes to you all!

What happened last year was that the school would notify selected applicants over 2 days, starting one day before deadline.

We have around 30 Chinese students every year.  That comes to 60 for 2 years.  I don't know what you meant by avg background.  The backgrouds are diverse, ranging from engineers to bankers, government officials to entrepreneurs.  Usually folks from mainland China take about 60%.

Yes.  The Chinese student association in U of C organized quite a few events for networking purpose.

I don't quite understand this quesion  You definitely know your Chinese peers very well and they are likely to be your lifelong friends (if you don't screw up).  They are smart, talented, experienced and good-looking.  So to me, I don't worry about "quality" of my friends at all.  Quantitively, you get to know more people other than Chinese classmates.  Now with globalization, I don't think one shall only limit him/herself in China.  Diversity?  Oh man, this is the place you should come see.  I have a squad mate who was a nuclear submarine officer...
Hope I answered your question.

103 (Reading 29, Listening 26, Speaking 24, and Writing 24.)

As a heavily Finance focused school, Chicago GSB is a great school comparable to Wharton, but this year will be particularly difficult in placing its MBAs.

This year will be difficult for any school to place its MBAs.

Why not asking AdCom? My gut feeling is that it won't matter as long as you can show in your essays that you are capable of handing complicated professional tasks in English speaking environment? For instance, working abroad, coordinating multi-country teams, reporting to / managing / working with English speaking colleagues, etc

Hope it helps and good luck

Thanks to all for taking questions. I have a question about class visit. Will the perspective applicants be challenged by professor during the class visit? I am having on-campus interview next week and wonder whether to schedule the event of campus visit. Thanks a lot for your help
