答案是A.当时我也在A和D中犹豫了半天，后来我觉得A中没有跟DOUBLE有关，所以选择了D。看来GMAT还是喜欢三因啊，但我想知道怎么否定D

不知道是不是因为D中the number of plants grown per acre will almost double

说明只是almost 但是不可能是double， 然后就排除为肯定是错的

也许我们太钻牛角尖了。如果问题中不提DOUBLE，我可能也不会想那么多，有可能就选A了，但它一提DOUBLE，就怎么也得找个跟DOUBLE 有关的选项吧。但我觉得A更推不出一定能使产量DOUBLE的证据来。

关于D，同意achine的解释。同时，almost double这样的表述，本身有不确定性，作为正确选项出现的概率是比较低的。
