友情分享一下我的作文模板,对我考试的题目很适合。中间加了我的一些话,帮助记忆。 也就是说,AA的内容是:2个东西比较,并由其中一个推到另一个,要反驳它。。。 Argument
看完题目就开始直接打开头一段,边打边想理由! In this argument, the arguer concludes that in order to boost sales, small breweries should brew low-calorie beers. To support this conclusion, the arguer points out that the majority of visitors asked to taste low-calorie beers, based on Magic Hat Brewery's latest survey. In addition, the arguer reasons that because most visitors of Magic Hat Brewery like to taste low-calorie beers, the visitors of other small breweries also like to taste low-calorie beers. This argument suffers from 2 critical flaws.
第一,被调查者的选择可能偏向于得到文中的结论,然后,被调查者的选择可能不能代表整个社会的需要。。。 First, the survey is open to question. The argument does not indicate how the majority of visitors were selected. If most of these visitors prefer health to beer’s price, then there is possibility that they tend to taste low-calorie beer. In this case, the selection of sample is problematic. In addition, the results cited in the survey may be misleading because the total number of consumers is not specified. For example, if the community has 10,000 consumers, the fact that 9,000 of them came to taste low-calorie beer provides strong support for the conclusion. On the other hand, if there are only 500 of the total consumers came to taste, the conclusion would be much weaker. Furthermore, the survey does not show visitors' background, whether they are coming from out of town with possibility that may not come to buy beers in the future , or living in town with large consumption.
第二,调查结果推论有误,因为两者有很多的不同性(例如经济/时间/能力/背景等) Another problem with the argument is that it makes a hasty generalization that all breweries should brew low-calorie beers. It accords with common sense that each brewery is different by its size, technology, fund, sales and marketing skills, since these issues affect other small breweries very directly. However, it is unfair to assume that these small breweries would have the same technology and fund to produce the low-calorie beers like Magic Hat Brewery, and then have the same sales and marketing skills to promote the products, finally boost the sales.
In conclusion, this argument is not convincing as it stands. Accordingly, it is imprudent for the arguer to claim that small breweries should brew low-calorie beers in order to boost sales. To make this argument logically acceptable, the arguer would have to show that majority of visitors account for a significant and representative portion of all consumers to the brewery industry. Additionally, the arguer should provide evidence to prove that other small breweries have the same capacity to produce and promote low-calorie beers. Only with more convincing evidence could this argument become more than just an emotional appeal.
Survey (based on data %) Issue: 1).Sample is selected randomly? (e.g. only pick these who prefer the results/who will 100% reach goal...) 2).Sample is selected largely enough to reach general goal? (e.g. only pick 10% employees/...) Reference/Analogy (A is successful, so B is also...) Issue: 1).2 different things, cannot copy A to B (e.g. Tom is smart, so his father is smart too; worker agree, so managers agree too) 2).From A, introduce result B (e.g. large population, so economics is good) 3).Forget others ways to improve (e.g. author could choose a cheaper/more suitable/ convenient way to solve it, but he/she forget & choose the ways in the argument)

107. “The most effective way for managers to assign work is to divide complex tasks into their simpler component parts. This way, each worker completes a small portion of the task but contributes to the whole.” Discuss the extent to which you agree or disagree with the opinion stated above. Support your views with reasons and/or examples from your own experience, observations, or reading.
看完题目就开始直接打开头一段,边打边想理由! What is the most effective way for managers to assign work? To some extent, I agree with the author’s general assertion that dividing complex tasks into simpler parts which can be completed by each worker is effective way to assign work by managers. However, the author unnecessarily extends this broad assertion to an irreversible extreme while overlooks other compelling factors that may affect this issue. On balance, my points of agreement and contention with the author involve the fundamental and deep analysis as discussed below.
找两个理由,来说明作者观点如何对 On the one hand, I would like to admit that this statement, although suffers from some obvious drawbacks, has some merits primarily in some special cases in which the implicit rationale behind it accords with common sense and our experience in daily life. Hence, it is partially indisputable. After all, some complex tasks are combined of many simpler parts; one person could hardly complete all the work perfectly and on time. Even if the manager has ability to complete work perfectly and on time, he or she may spend a lot of time and energy on this one issue, and finally lower the overall company efficiency. Furthermore, dividing complex tasks into simpler parts can make each worker join the whole project and let everybody feel that he or she has important role in achieving company goals. All these evidence demonstrates beyond any doubt that dividing complex tasks into simpler parts which can be completed by each worker is effective way to assign work.
找两个理由说明在一些场合下,作者观点还是不成立的 On the other hand, recognizing that a more applicable choice must incorporate different aspects of the issue as sufficient as possible, I have to point out that the author overstates dividing complex task’s comparative significance, and fail to take into account other essential factors. In short, this assertion is problematic in two aspects. The first argument, and the one that I find most compelling is that the author overlooked each workers’ cooperation and problem solving skills, that is to say, some workers with lower efficiency can only finish his or her own work during working hours and have no opportunity to help managers to complete new work assigned, if work is assigned to these low efficient workers, this may cause delay to overall project. The second argument, it might have been noticed by others, is that in some occasion, it is quite difficult to divide all the work into simpler parts and make each worker complete part of them perfectly and on time. Under this condition, managers are difficult to control the overall schedule, and any tiny error may delay the whole project. Accordingly, I tend to concede that when it comes to some certain circumstances it is partially inappropriate.

最后一段不变,总结下可以了。 In conclusion, this issue is complex, requiring subjective judgment. Consequently, there are no easy or certain answers. So different are the personal experiences and emotional concerns among people with diverse culture that thousand individuals might hold thousand opinions. According to me, sometimes, dividing complex tasks into simpler parts is effective way to assign work by managers, based on the conditions I mentioned above. |
