I am worring about the loan as well. One of my friends, a Canadian citizen living here for 5 years, enrolled to Queen's; he even paid $2000 deposit but finally he was told he was not qulified for loan. He quited and went to Rotman instead. (He was refused by Rotman firstly and after doing something he got another interview and got in)

I talked with him a couple of days ago, he told me that if I need finance, forget Queen's. He really made me down....

i talked to RBC today. A loan of credit of line is available without a cosigner. you'd better call them yourself.

Thanks. I will call RBC then if I got in. Did you call RBC in Kingston? Did you make sure it is an interest subsided loan? The guy I talked with told my I will have to find a cosigner even if I am a PR of Canada(more than 2 years here).

If we do have a chance to get the interest subsided loan, it will be a good news.

The credit representative did tell me a cosigner was required last year, but is not necessary this year. I already applied by myself and am waiting for approval. If interested, you can call 1-800-769-2599 (option 4) to speak with one of a credit representative
who is available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.Good luck!
