From what I see here, during the first two years in big 4, a lot of our job duties are administrative in nature.... (extremely boring but must do...) but I do think audit staff get more exposure than Advisory staff, and I am in TS... Since we have so many managers, we usually don't get to do much (if any) analysis work. Our job duty is more excel technical than administrative compared to audit (but that's only becuase our job nature requires less admin work..). Exposure wise.. not much (yet)...

However, after we are promoted to B grade, things do change. However, since I am still a small potato, I can't speak for others, nor do I know exactly what things are for them. Just hope that by the time I have figured out my "why MBA", I have some good stories to tell!!!

initialcd,I guess you do a lot of DD? I think you will have more exposure than I do.

Have you figured out when to pursue an MBA degree?

Actually, FDD is what we do..

My plan is to apply in 2010. Need to figure out a lot during the next 2 years

顶下师弟的贴，我也是北外的，在四大混了2年就辞职了，呵呵~~~其实senior level的话 可以写写沟通啊，和客户的，上下级关系之类的，还有Leadership, 你的planning的能力等等。我是Assurance的，辞职前作一个IPO，当时要作一个deferred tax，一看表我就晕了。所以对于tax的同事，我还是比较尊敬的。哈哈！毕竟你们会我只知道皮毛的东西。我也觉得四大招人太多了，搞得到处是四大的，大家都申请MBA的话竞争比较惨烈啊！good luck!
