One way to judge the performance of a company is to compare it with other companies. This technique, commonly called “benchmarking,” permits the manager of a company to discover better industrial practices and can provide a justification for the adoption of the good practices.

Ｅ，先看出比较关系，通过ｒａｔｈｅｒ　ｔｈａｎ确定支持非竞争，而不是竞争，前面是ｖａｌｉｄ　ｒｅａｓｏｎ，所以是支持题。

下面看选项就可以了，Ｅ说多数成功来自采用他们产品或市场（同类）的特殊措施，就是说和竞争有关系，所以是ｉｎｖａｌｉｄ。

其他都是和非竞争的相关，或者支持非竞争导致好的结果。

参考这两个帖子,说的比较清楚

A的意思就是说,公司对直接竞争对手采用benchmarking,容易使经理人专注于已经实施过了的方法,(而不是去发现更好的方法).就是反驳了

"公司的经理人也可以用这个技术去发现更好的实践方法并判断这个实践方法的实施是否有效"这个意思.
