写作练习求拍 给点意见 8月3号沈阳师范题目:是否同意20年以后,学生使用printed books将减少
Nowadays, people in a growing number are beginning to recognize that students will no longer use printed books to study twenty years later. But some people argue that students will still study through printed books even after twenty years later for the reason that students are coming into the habit of using printed books. Printed books will consume a great amount of forest resources which are in shortage in the modern society. So I prefer to maintain that a decreasing number of students will use printed books in twenty years for the following reasons.
First of all, one of central reasons which can be presented to develop the position is that there is a growing awareness of that the modern world is extremely in short of forest resources. Because of printed books are make from woods, people have to cut down the trees. In the view of the insufficient resources, people have to make up for the loss of forest resources and apply the theory to good use of them. According to a recent survey, it can be leaned that printed books cost forty percents of forest resources world-wide. It means that a printed book that students use in classroom asks worker to cut down a tree in the forest. Under this circumstance, it is obvious that there are some limits for students to use printed books due to the scanty resources.
In addition, another equally crucial aspect is that students have to adapt themselves to new change that computer and internet are widely used in modern society. Students will reads books and obtain a great amount of information from computers and internet. Examples can be found easily to support this viewpoint. As the head of computer at my university once said (and I paraphrase):” the trend that students go to classroom just with a computer will come true sooner or later. It is more efficient and convenient for students to study, owing to that all they need is a computer, while carrying books here and there can be very heavy.” In a word, all these evidence demonstrate beyond any doubt that new change of technology and science result to the decreasing number of printed books.
However, I do not want to overstate the fact that students will no longer use printed books to study twenty years later, since the printed boos some comparative advantages in some special cases. Firstly, looking at a screen for a long time would make students’ eyes strain. Many students wear glasses because of watching computer frequently. Moreover, spending more time on the computer always make students backache. So it is more comfortable to read printed books. In addition, compared to TV or computer, people can skim all the news at one time and choose the information they like.
Admittedly, others hold the opinion that people will still use printed books in twenty years thanks to the habit which are formed for a long time. So different are the personal experiences and emotional concerns among people with diverse culture that thousand individuals might hold thousand opinions. In the view of the insufficient resources, people have to make up for the loss of forest resources. From what has been discussed above, we may draw that conclusion that students will no longer use printed books to study twenty years later. |
