Having so many useful thoughts here, no matter positive or negative, it is really useful for me. Thanks, sinopolish. Thanks, cakehouse. Hope to have further info from you. As u know, I has a weak backgouding in finance, so I hope the CFA give me a systematic teaching process, only to prove that I know finance field. combined with cracking the major obstacls I will face in getting into a intern. Is my analysis about these above practical or not? true or false..... Here are another some piece suggestion from a senior in UBS IB with the same major as I do, wish this can help others with the same backgrouding and predicament as I do. Hey, nice to hear from you. I am sorry that I was actually taking training classes the whole day, I am in London with other guys from UBS worldwide. Sorry that I think I can not speak to you for long during weekdays, coz the training is intensive, from 8:30AM to 5:30PM. However, I think we can talk during the weekends, my cell phone is xxxxxxxxxxxxx. Based on what you wrote about your background, I think the fastest path for you to enter I-banking is to go for work for now. Spending a couple of years doing graduate school in Sun Yat-Sen University is a waste of time, I think it will be so much more valuable for you to go for the swiss firm, working experience is more important than degrees. Working for like 2 -3 years, apply for MBA and go back to business school, then get ready for investment banking. I am not sure if you are aware the market condition right now, it is not a good time to enter this industry at the moment. Having said that, a MFE can help you get into this field faster, like what I did..... Anyway, I think you have a good shape right now, do not worry too much, apply for MFE first, if can not get it, then go for work, I guess this is my suggestion.
