I think HBS is open to all kinds of applicants, regardless of your background and future goals. HBS is very focused on recruiting leaders that can make a positive influence on the world. I think 2+2 program is looking for young applicants with tremendous potential. Similar to regular MBA program, they're looking for diversity, including but not limited to those from non-business background. You did a pretty good job in positioning yourself as a leader. Did you think you did well on your interviews? HBS values interviews a lot.

请问HBS的同学，如果今年10月第一轮申请09年入学HBS的MBA，offer是否会直到明年1月21日才通知？如果这样是否可能晚于其它第一轮申请学校的第一轮offer截至日期，以至于不得不放弃其它offer而等待HBS？请教各位现在的HBS同学是否在申请时有这个问题？谢谢。

HBS will not make the admission decision until the given deadline of each round. So in the case that you have already been admitted by other MBA programs before the deadline of HBS round one, unfortunately, you have to wait for HBS' decision till the deadline of specific round.

There is no specific statistics about this kind of rate as well as no given policy about kicking students out. At least I can not find it so far. According to my knowledge, it is not so significent. HBS education system is designed to help students to become successful rather than defeat you.

my background:

tier 2 university bachelor in China, major in industrial design, GPA 3.3

current job: top international logistics company, regional business development manager, 5 year experience in the industry. 3 reports.

Had start-up (student company in IT industry) for 1.5 years in college and currently running a small start-up (logistics industry).

Committee member of 2 local NGO (a professional network organization and a artistic organization, one as founder and sponsoship manager) for 2 years, volunteer of a international NGO for 5 years.

GMAT 710(V36Q49) AWA 5.5, TOEFL not taken yet

purpose for MBA: international exposure, management, strategy and leadership improvement, career change (to managing consulting), life adventure.

Can you give some comment on my information while applying HBS? Any points that I need to highlight or polish especially for HBS?

Sorry that we don't make specific comments here on applicants background. One suggestion we give you is that think about how you can distinguish yourself from applicants with the same educational/professional background.

I don't know how common it is to have a section on the application form dedicated to listing any close family members who have attended the business school you're applying to.  Since HBS is one of these schools and why would they state somewhere on their website that they do not take into any consideration whether the applicants' parents went to Harvard before? 

Could you shed us some light on this?  As current students at HBS, do you believe the school would prefer an alumni's kid over another applicant with the exactly same quality?
