请问WHARTON在吸引IT背景的人申请方面有什么特点么？

学校会提供那些program 或者一些特点来使得将tech作为未来career goal的人可以学到东西？

You may check http://emertech.wharton.upenn.edu/  and look for whatever interests you. You may also have a look at Wharton's mba website which provides a comprehensive list of core courses, 19 specializations and nearly 200 electives, among which I believe you will find something tech-related. 

As to programs, Wharton offers BBA, MBA, EMBA, PHD and Executive Training programs.

I don't know whether Wharton puts extra efforts in attracting applicants with hi-tech background, but  many ex-engineers, ex-scientists, and ex-project managers enroll in Wharton every year so I guess there must be something in school that they want to and can learn.

But seriously, why pursue MBA if tech is your career goal?

I am sorry. Maybe you misunderstood the saying of littleca.

We just suggest that you consider and research how much a MBA education can help you in general, if you want to contribute your future career to the technology industry. In fact, lots of Wharton students are interested in High tech industry. We have tech club in our community, and the school holds many siminars about new technology and innovations.

If your career vision is "management" in tech sector, you may benefit from MBA study. Otherwise, even top MBA programs cannot provide resources to assist you to publish papers on Nature, or become an IEEE fellow.

Wharton MBA除了在finance方面巨强以外，她的一些其他特性能够保证以各种方向为职业目标的人获得各种资源与支持：（1）最严厉的教学培养出学生最扎实的business foundation；（2）最大的alumni network给学生提供职业发展的巨大的全球性的资源网络，例如：你有tech背景，并且想成立一个tech start-up，你能从校友中找到许许多多的潜在投资个人/机构；（3）最大、最多元化的学生构成，能够给学生带来多角度多方位的学习与锻炼机会。

从正面理解的话，wharton的tech方面不是她最强的部分，而你实际上已经具备了相当的tech背景和资源，则wharton正好可以为你提供其他各方面的资源与支持，使你的实力更均衡和全面；从反面考虑的话，如果你只想和tech领域的人共同学习、共同工作或创业，你可以选择更加focus在tech领域的学校，例如：MIT等。

毕业于国内Top10综合大学，医药专业背景 ，4年工作经验

本科期间获得过全国大学生商业计划大赛一等奖；做过Unicef的志愿者

请问这样的背景对于沃顿是否太过于普通了？

To Chase 2008: I believe Wharton treats all students equally and fairly.

To jnjduanlian: I've heard from a second year student that healthcare is one of Wharton's strongest concentrations. Is there anything particular you want to know?
