A long, long time age, one of my friends was F2.  He got a certification for chef before arrival US.  His F1 really liked  his food so that he had to cook every day.  During week days, he went to libary to study and went back home at about 4:00pm to cook.  How they spent their night-time was beyond my knowledgement.  The poor guy had to work in weekends to make some money.  Alternatively, he gave his F1 a ride for shopping and carried all bags for his LD.  Of course, he got half-day off on Sunday so that he could played soccer with other guys.  Before his wife graduated from school, he applied a school so that he could get a F1 visa -just in case of his F1 cannot find a job right after school.  Luckily, his F1 found job and he was in school for few years to get his degree. 

from what you said, the guy seemed miserable with F-2 visa in the States, how come you know that for sure?  He might enjoy the family life very much and was happy to cook for his wife, and most importantly being with his wife.

我想问个问题，大家是怎么说服老公老婆跟着F2的啊。我现在想劝我女朋友跟我F2，但是人家有稳定的工作，要是让她放弃一切跟着我走，真有点无从开口。

这个帖不错！不过我更关心的是F2申F1的过程是怎样的呢？要是有过来人说一下详细情况就好了！

如果英语好的话那还没啥大问题，如果英语不行的话是满闷满无聊的。
